In the beginning Elizabeth made cheese for family & friends and through recommendations supplied cheese for special events and celebrations.
2016 saw the opening of a new purpose built micro-Dairy in the heart of Whitby, along The Ropery on the east side below the Abbey.
All the cheese is made here, with Jersey cow's milk, rich and creamy with a glorious golden hue.
2017 saw the expansion of the Dairy into the adjoining premises, giving lots more space to make and mature more cheese.
2018 saw the arrival of the new 'cheesemobile' fully equipped and refrigerated to take Whitby Cheese on Tour to events and shows.
Whitby Cheese is also delighted to be supplying to fine food retailers and local restaurants including Bothams of Whitby, Sandsend Stores, Cedarbarn Farm Shop & Hunters of Helmsley, and are delighted to be stocked at Castle Howard, you'll find us in their fabulous Farm Shop.
